May 8th 2021
Tim began the meeting at 1:00 with Mary, Bill, and Scott on hand.
As is our usual practice each member discussed their recent photo related activities.
Bob provided an email Treasurer’s Report which indicated a balance of $427.63.
Bill’s image, Honeybees on Crocuses emerged as the winner of the NAPC Monthly Photo Contest.
Next, each member showed their post processing edits of an image previously provided by Tim.
Scott provided updates related to the NAPC website, then went on to mention some Bokeh related
info and briefly talked about translucent flower photography (by Harold Davis). Scott finished
by mentioning the benefits of using a NiSi close up filter for macro photography.
Bill conducted a live demo regarding how to use Luminar AI to replace a sky.
Tim showed a video by Matt K. titled Make Your Subject Stand Out.
Tim had previously researched possible flower garden field trip locations and reported that
St Gauden’s, The Fells, and Kirkwood Gardens have good potential for some time after Memorial Day.
Bokeh will be the topic for the June NAPC Photo Contest.
Informative discussions then ensued regarding use of a Color Space and resizing an image.
