Bob convened the meeting at 1:00. On hand were Suzy, Bob, Mary, Tim, Lynn, MaryEllen, and visitor Amy B.
After introductions to visitor Amy, discussion involved Friday night’s Northern Lights show. Not many saw them due to overcast skys in our area,. Some members showed pictures sent to them from other areas.
NAPC treasury stands at $937,32. Including the last dues payment of $35.00 collected at brings the total to $972,32.
Bill garnered top honors once again in the Photo Contest (subject: silhouettes) with his pic “Morning Stroll”. Well done Bill,
Next was the monthly edit challenge, Elephant and Milky Way. As usual. several creative edits and croppings.
Susy spoke on “Shooting From a Moving Vehicle” giving very informative tips on a subject many of us had not given much thought to. She provided a handout for everyone which is , attached.
Bob was up next with an entertaining and informative presentation on “Forced Perspective” photography with many examples and tips. A copy is attached.
It was followed by a short video on the subject.
Next was an interesting discussion about arguably obsolete Photography Rules.- Sunny 16, Don’t shoot over ISO 400, Prime lenses better than Zooms for example
For a field trip, everyone seemed to think that Saint Gaudens Park in Cornish would be a good trip sometime in late June or July. Bob will call to get their advice and also check on tripod use.
The Photo Contest topic for June will be “Forced Perspective”
Scott will be the Moderator for our June 8th meeting.
