A Notch Above Photography Club
Minutes
February 11th, 2023

The February 11th meeting kicked off at 1:00 with Bill as moderator and Clay, Charlie, Bob, Mary, Tim, Judy, Susan and Scott in attendance. We were pleased to welcome Derek to his first meeting.

Following  self introductions and “catching up” time Bob reported that we have a balance of $341.13 in our treasury. Bob suggested that we express our thanks to Igor S., our Ukrainian based web guru, with a $50 gratuity.  Igor has quickly identified the cause and resolved various design and technical issues with our club website.  Tim seconded this motion and Scott will coordinate with Igor.

Mary’s image, “Days Gone By” was selected as winner of our monthly photo contest, subject: “Around the House”.

Next was our monthly editing exercise with two images that Bill had previously provided.

Bill then presented a detailed discussion of “Winter Landscapes” using a great collection of recently taken personal images to illustrate various points.

Finally, Bob demonstrated various methods to “Restore Old Photos”.  Bob focused on a menu option in Photoshop,
Neural Filters, which can restore and colorize damaged or black and white images using Artificial Intelligence.

The photo contest topic for March is “Black and White.” Scott is moderator for that meeting.

Bill adjourned the meeting at 1:00.
