Scott opened the meeting on time with Bill, Suzy (and Judy), Lynne, and Clay on hand.
Today, The Town of Bethlehem was marking its 250th anniversary with street side vendor attractions and a parade.
Following our usual member update session we moved on to the monthly edit challenge.
Next, members viewed printed copies of their photo contest entries with Scott emerging as winner with his image ‘Poppies.’ We’re all especially grateful to Bill for taking the time and effort to print our contest entries.
Scott presented images from NAPC’s first field trip in 2017 which was to the area of Sugar Hill. The intent was to generate interest in repeating the same event for our 2024 members during the upcoming foliage season and then followed by dinner at a Littleton restaurant.
Scott announced that the Photo Contest topic for September is ‘Motion’ to include panning. Members are invited to view a short video titled ‘Master the Art of Capturing Motion in Photography.’
Next was a fun and informative camera quiz presented via Powerpoint.
Lastly, Scott discussed the all important topic of ‘focus’ while explaining the differences between sharpness, focus, and resolution.
Best of luck to Tim this Tuesday and our wishes for a speedy rehab.
