Tim began the meeting at 1:00 with Lynn, Bill, Bob, Mary, Clay, and Scott present and noted that this date marks the beginning of NAPC’s 8th year. A special note of thanks to our members who regularly attend meetings and contribute their time and effort to make NAPC a success.
Following our normal catch up session Bob announced that our balance at WGSB is $729.35.
Suzy won the (smart phone) photo contest with her image titled “Dog Closeup.”
Next was the monthly edit challenge followed by Tim’s presentation “Custom Set Memory” and “Back Button Focus.”
Tim then discussed “Monochromatic Color Photography” complete with a video and handouts.
In previous meetings we discussed the idea of adding various activities for our meetings and photo walks. Members readily accepted Bob’s suggestion to have non moderators contribute to our meetings on a regular basis with their topic of choice. Lynn agreed to do a 10-15 minute presentation at our April meeting. Bill had previously suggested that each member work on a project which would take them out of their “comfort zone.” As moderator for our April meeting, Scott asked each member to provide details concerning their chosen project.
Tim designated “Monochromatic Color Photography” as the photo contest topic for our 4/12 meeting. Members are asked to submit 2 images, one with little or no post processing done and a second image using their post processing software of choice. Refer to the screenshot below for further explanation.
