A Notch Above Photography Club
Minutes
September 2014

Bob kicked off the meeting at 1:00 with Susan, Lynne, Mary Ellen, Clay, and Scott on hand.

Each member provided comments concerning recent photography related activities or other topics as might interest other members.

Bob indicated a NAPC treasurer balance of $972.48.  Bob urged members to think about how we could make best use of those funds – sponsoring a guest speaker, having a paid for holiday meal, etc.

Suzy won the monthly photo contest (topic: Motion/Panning) with her image titled ‘Waterfall.’

Next was our monthly edit challenge.

Scott suggested a field trip to the Sugar Hill area which would duplicate the path of our very first field trip in October 2017. A follow on meal in Littleton would follow. Tim, Mary, Bob, John F., and Scott were present for that initial outing. Scott will query members to determine their interest and availability. Target dates are October 6-11.

Members then displayed images from the recent field trip to Saint-Gaudens Natural Historic Park.

Bob led a discussion about the Exposure Triangle.

Bob then went into some depth to discuss the benefits of shooting in Manual Mode with Auto ISO.  Back button focus found it’s way into the discussion and is a topic for a refresher presentation.

The photo topic for October is Autumn in New Hampshire.
