Bill opened the meeting at 1:00 with Lynn, Bob, Clay, Charlie, Scott, and MaryEllen on hand.

Initial discussion centered on the high winds (tornado?) that certain towns recently experienced.

Bob announced a treasury balance of $972.40.

Next was voting for our monthly photo contest (subject: Decay, Decline, Deteriorate).  A total of 14 images were submitted with Bill garnering top honors with “Days Gone By.”

The monthly editing challenge once again demonstrated how member postprocessing skills have progressed since our first meeting in 2017.

Bob led a discussion regarding interest in a field trip to Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park.  Date and time are yet to be determined.

Following this, members suggested ideas for lessening time and effort involved in moderator responsibilities.  The following suggestions were made:

Compile a list of previous (archived) presentations for repeat use.                                                                                                                                                                     Live photo shoot during a future meeting.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Bring a printed image to a meeting for constructive critique.

Bill led a discussion regarding “Why it’s a Good Idea to Print Your Photos.  Included was a short video.

For the August photo contest Bill has chosen something unique.  Members are tasked with providing a digitized image for print.                                  In turn, Bill will print the image and voting in August will be conducted from viewing the printed image. Bill provided written                                        detailed instructions for how to proceed.

The meeting ended at 3:00.  Scott will be the moderator for our August 10th meeting.
