A Notch Above Photography Club
Minutes
April 9, 2022

Tim convened the meeting at 1:00 PM with the following members on hand: Bill, Bob, Mary and Scott. Also present
and attending their first meeting were Nicole, Clay, and Charlie.

A list of club activities includes the following:

Welcome new members and brief introductions.

Bob’s Treasury Report indicated a balance of $353.97

Tim distributed two handouts:
                                     Future Topics and Activities
                                     Demystifying the Histogram

Bill emerged as winner of our Monthly Photo Contest (topic: Patterns) with his image of Lupines.

Members displayed results of our Monthly Edit Challenge. Tim passed out a very useful document in which the
What? –> How? –> Why? of the image editing process are recorded and available for later discussion.

Scott showed a video by Judy Hancock Holland titled “Minimalism.”

Tim discussed the Exposure Triangle, primarily intended for novice photographers.

Our Photo Contest topic for May is Framing.  Accordingly, Tim presented information to make members more aware
of how various types of frames may be used to accentuate the subject of a photo.

Bob will be the moderator for our May 14th meeting.
